Easter Worship Resources

Chaplains always look to the future as well as existing in the here and now.  It's the paradigm of Kingdom thinking: already here but also coming soon!  That's a long way of saying, start thinking about your preparations for Easter now!

Mountain Masala is the blog of Youth Ministry Guru, Craig Mitchell, a man of legendary proportions within the Uniting Church in Australia.  He's been around for a while and is highly regarded, both in the practice of, and thinking behind, worship and Christian education.

So when he compiles the resources he's created for Easter worship in chapels and churches over the last few years in one place, it's something worth trawling through!  This blog post does just that and it's a treasure trove of prayers, worship ideas, multimedia resources, learning site rotation outlines and more.

It's almost inconceivable that you'll look here and not find a bunch of things worth using with your school communities.

Have a look and collect the goodness!

Inspirational Youtube

How do you inspire students at the start of the school year? What is it you say to them to encourage them for all that is ahead?

Youtube is full of inspirational speeches from movies, but here is one clip with 40 inspirational speeches in 2 minutes

This could be used in a variety of different ways. One might be to ask students to think about what they tell themselves for the purpose of inspiration or encouragement. Is it positive? Is it helpful? Does it work?

Is hyping ourselves up always the best thing to do at the start of the year or is there another way?
